​ACADEMIC ORGANIZATIONS

 

CE Student Society of Research and Development (CESSRD)

It is the premier academic organization of the College of Engineering. Its vision is to be the Center for Student Science and Technology Research and Development of the PUP's College of Engineering. Its objectives: to open a venue for interested and talented students in the field of research and development in the college; to deal mostly on applied science which may be innovations or inventions; to urge the college to realize the importance of Science and Technology; to allow its talented members to reach greater heights of knowledge through seminars and other related activities here and abroad; and to foster close ties regarding Science and Technology transformation among students and professionals of related institution.​

Broad Circle

It is the premier student organization of the PUP College of Communication (Department of Broadcast Communication). It serves as the avenue for Broadcast Communication students to harness their academic and technical skills. They organize events such as Broadcast Announcing and Music Video Festivals, seminars/workshops, etc. They also expose students to media such as Rush TV and by conducting studio tours. At present, Broad Circle is also the working arm for the college radio station, DZMC FM 98.3. They coordinate and facilitate training for the upcoming broadcasters of the said station.

The Economics Research Society (ECONRES)

It is an established and recognized student organization in the university. Committing itself for the furtherance and development of the whole Economics student body, it helps the status of its students through the creation of greater awareness on the issues concerning the economic well-being of the Filipino people.

Junior Management Society

The organization was formed to poster harmonious relationship among management students; to promote the exchange of ideas and information in the field of management in the form of lectures, symposia, lectures, researches and other related activities for members; to promote interaction among management students; to cooperate with the PUP administration policies together with its instrumentalities in the execution of administrative policies which will rebound to the benefit of the university as a whole.

Kapatiran ng Talino at Galing (KATAGA) PUP Honors' Society

PUP's premier and most prestigious academic organization. It has gained different awards and citations from the university and from different private sectors because of its continued efforts towards the advancement of student leadership and academic excellence.

Quadro Photo Club

It is the official eye of the PUP College of Communication. It is established as a student body organization to institutionalize freelance photography in PUP-COC whereas individual artistic expression and editorial articulations can be consummated through the photographic media.

CULTURAL AND ART-BASED ORGANIZATIONS

PUP Bamboo Kawayan
 

This organization is where percussion student artists are being trained rigorously to play a bamboo instrument ensemble. Bamboo Kawayan has varied repertoire of music which includes original compositions and highly-stylized musical arrangements. They also conduct both local and international concerts.
 

PUP Bagong Himig
Centralized novelty and popular music with original choreography, highly-stylized choral singing and superb musical arrangement with mass appeal—these are some of the weighty characteristics of the

​PUP Bagong Himig.
 

PUP Ramp Artists
From the name itself, this organization focuses on ramp modeling. It also serves as a breakthrough for some members who have thirst for TV and print advertisement. Unfortunately, only 5’4” tall women and 5’7” tall men could join this org. Sort of unjust, eh?
 

Maharlika Dance Artists
Focusing in Filipino ethnic and folk dances, Maharlika Dance Artists prove that stereotyping is way out of their shell. They also perform interpretative dance and ballet which they share too, to those people who are interested through dance workshops.

​ Teatro Komunikado

​Teatro Komunikado is the prime theater guild of the College of Communication, Polytechnic University of the Philippines. It was founded by Mr. Paulo De Torres, Restituto Magtoto II and Sarah Hermosa with Prof. Kriztine Rosales-Viray.

​

It is one of the formidable theater groups that promotes a new era of expressionism that is unique of its kind, uplifts discipline and responsibility to the students and and their tenacity and revolutionize the chaotic essence of the society through the use of theater as its medium.

FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATION​

YRock

Its purpose: "Change a nation by changing a generation". YRock Christian Assembly offers relevant, realistic, dynamic and life-changing preaching of the word of God. Pastoral care groups help individuals grow and mature as children of God. Life skills development, economic and spiritual empowerment are what members experience in this organization.

POLITICAL ORGANIZATIONS​

Kilos PUPian, Oras Natin 'To!

Kilos is one of the many student organizations in PUP. Its main objective is to provide the students with leadership development activities that could be essential to them. The group believes that a PUPian could only face the challenges outside the university if we consider skills development as part of the students' training. This would be done by providing them with proper trainings that are constructive, rational and responsible; moving away from the practices of destructive activists in the university.

Sentral na Konseho ng Mag-aaral (SKM)

Sometimes called as Central Student Council (CSC), SKM is the group of elected officers of the general student population. It's primary function in the student government is to act as the university's student executive branch.

​

Student Consultative Assembly (SCA)

SCA is the highest policy-making body of the student government in PUP. It is mandated to promulgate student laws and other statures. ###
